The Center for Educational Renewal works toward the renewal of P-12 schools and teacher education with special attention to the needs of education in a democratic society. CSRDweb.net is an interactive website where schools that are involved in CSRD can view school profiles, participate in online discussions, and more. Designs for Change is an advocacy group focusing on urban school reform, especially Chicago; their work combines research and policy analysis with direct involvement. An Educator's Guide to Schoolwide Reform The full text of Key High School Reform Strategies: An Overview of Research Findings, can be accessed on the website of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Vocational and Adult Education. The National Clearinghouse for Comprehensive School Reform provides the most recent research and evaluation of reform, designs, models, and strategies. The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory offers resources, research, and assistance on its Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration page. The Southwest Educational Development Laboratory provides access to a searchable, nationwide database of schools that have been awarded CSRD funds. The U.S. Department of Education's site on comprehensive school reform provides a variety of resources. The Center for Educational Reform -- A national independent advocacy organization focusing on a variety of reform issues. The Center on Reinventing Public Education explores forms of governance that "will allow schools to be focused, effective, and accountable." The Center for School Change is a project of the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, and is aimed at comprehensive school reform and building support for public education. MiddleWeb -- Explores school reform at the middle school level. New American Schools provides information on a number of whole-school reform models. The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) provides information on the "New American High School Project." The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory has a school change specialty. The online journal Rethinking Schools describes itself as "an urban educational journal" focused on school reform, with special emphasis on equity and social justice. The Consortium for Policy Research in Education combines the resources of five universities to do research on policy, finance, school reform, and school governance. US Charter Schools is a clearinghouse for information and advice on charter schools. The Center on Organization and Restructuring of Schools was a five-year project (1990-1995) at the University of Wisconsin's Wisconsin Center for Education Research.
